Practice Profile and Facilities

Welcome to the website of Ashbourne Medical Practice.

We are a 5 partner practice with a list size of approximately 7500 patients who live in the town itself and the outlying villages. We are long established in Ashbourne, and have just moved to new purpose built premises on the edge of the town.

In addition to the 5 partners, 3 female and 2 male, we employ a salaried GP, and have GP Registrars completing their training with us as we are approved as a Training Practice. In order to maintain this status we are required to meet the highest standards of primary health care delivery and are regularly inspected to ensure that this is the case.

We are a dispensing practice which enables us to provide medication for any of our patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemist.

As well as traditional 'general practice', we offer well organised care for people with chronic medical conditions, preventative advice to all age groups, and a variety of specialised clinics including antenatal care, child health clinics and minor surgery.
